VSA BEING OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZED BY NIU

     On Sunday, February 6, 2000 the Student Association at Northern Illinois University held a meeting to vote for the recognition of the Vietnamese Student Association at NIU. A presentation of the VSA was conducted by Nguyen Huynh and Michael Pham (former President) to the board of approximately 20 senators.
     All senators approved the VSA as an official organization on campus.
     Right now Nguyen Huynh (new elected President) and other members of the VSA committee are in contact with the SA office to get information of how to get a web site from NIU as well as benefits of joining SA.
